International Snow Sculpture Championships
Please enjoy our photographs of the International Snow Sculpture Championships, held in Breckenridge Colorado! This event takes place in late January/early February, every year.

The schedule for the 2008 competition is:
Tuesday
January 22 First day of sculpting (you can watch all week, while the sculptors work) Saturday January 26 Last day of sculpting; completed approximately 10am; judging from 10am to approximately 1pm (sculptures on display all day, even during judging) Sunday January 27 Sculptures on display through Sunday, February 3rd (weather permitting) Sunday February 3 Probably the last day to view sculptures (weather permitting)
(Note: if you are a sculptor wishing to participate in the 2008 competition, applications will go out in May 2007, and will be due in July 2007).
We have added a short video clip, showing how they make the big snow blocks!
