The sculpting began Tuesday morning, January 18th. Later that day, there was a Welcome Ceremony at the Riverwalk Center Amphitheater, to welcome and honor the teams who had come from such diverse lands as England, Finland, Germany, Russia, Mexico, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Canada, and the good ol' USA.

As you'd expect during a snow sculpture competition, it was snowing as the teams walked off the stage.
