We're getting up there now -- well over 12,000 feet. Looking southeast, past Hoosier Pass (the Continental Divide), towards Park County.

Looking way down on the Upper Blue Lake, to the left (south) of Quandary. The elevation at the lake surface is 11,748 feet. There's a small dam, with a road on top, forming the lake (fed by Monte Cristo Creek).


Bear is taunting me to take the few remaining steps to the top. He makes it look so easy! At that altitude, I was huffing and puffing, but his primary concern was: "Hey! Throw the stick again!"
